CIS Cooperation Issues in Science, Technology and Innovation have been discussed

On  April 23-25, 2019, Samvel Haroutiunian, Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, participated in the 24rd session of Interstate Council for Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation (IC STI), held in St. Petersburg, Russia.

During the session the chairman of the Science Committee made a report dedicated to the reforms in the fields of science and innovation, and to the stable development steps of the mentioned fields. Samvel Haroutiunian particularly mentioned the implementation of an independent expertise system in Armenia. He also offered to create joint library GRID network, joint system of scientific centers and equipments for CIS Member States.

The next session of Interstate Council for Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation was agreed to organize in Tsaghkadzor, Armenia, in September 2020 together with the seminar on “Science and Innovation”. The IC STI members, scientists form CIS Member States will arrive in Armenia in order to take part in the next session.
